Dr. Sacks strives to help others develop skills to better manage their problems, repair damaged relationships, and seek a better life. Those skills are based on a strong foundation of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Dr. Sacks' experience in psychotherapy has led to an increasing appreciation for the importance of the mind-body connection to our well-being and happiness.
Dr. Sacks is a Licensed Psychologist who received her Master’s Degree from Indiana University, and her Ph.D. from Andrews University. She has worked in the field of psychology for over 20 years and for the past 16 has owned and operated SCC. She is passionate about women's issues, has extensive experience with a variety of clinical needs, and an expertise in personal and professional goal setting. She is dedicated to successfully and confidently assisting her clients with reaching their goals, whatever they may be.
Dr. Jeffrey L. Samelson offers psychological therapy services to children, adolescents, and adults. His services are available on an individual basis, group and family therapy. Dr. Samelsons' services a variety of clinical issues while specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Dr. Samelson received his B.A in Psychology from Indiana University, and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Georgia. With over 40 years experience he also enjoys dealing with the forensic piece of psychology as well as private practice.
Dr. Kathryn F. Meyer provides psychological evaluations and testing and therapy services at Sacks Clinical Consulting. She utilizes an integrative approach with clients, and values tailoring empirically-supported treatments to each individual with whom she works. She frequently utilizes relational and interpersonal approaches, DBT and CBT interventions, and holistic techniques in her work with clients. Dr. Meyer’s experience includes working with folks who experience interpersonal and relationship struggles, long-standing emotional difficulties, and acute depression, anxiety, and AD/HD. Dr. Meyer is also dedicated to multiculturally-competent work as a psychologist. She has a special interest in working with LGBTQ+ identified individuals, as well as those working through cultural and identity elements.
Dr. Meyer earned her M.A. and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology at Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL, and has trained and worked in community mental health clinics and private practices in Indiana, Illinois, and Minnesota.
